    Question,
    l have a plastic fuel tank in my 1971 911 s any ideas as to were it might have came from?

    is it a euro? euro models had plastic tanks, at least they did in 72 and later.

    yes it is euro.the engine and trans a 2.7 is out of a 1974 rs so l was told. engine no. 6641277

    Sounds like a previous owner took the drive train and fuel tank from a '74 Carrera 2.7 and put them in your '71S. This should be a really fun car to drive and if you ever want to return your car to the original 2.2L engine you could certainly sell the 911/83 motor and more than pay for a nice 911/02 to put back in the car.
