Light Bulb for Blaupunkt Radio Face

I disassembled the face of my Blaupunkt Frankfurt to change the bulb and to my surprise it was a 7V not a 12V bulb. It has the same basic shape as the gauge bulbs. Does anyone know a source for these 7V bulbs or know if it should actually be a 12V bulb? There does look to be a resistor near the bulb that may be stepping down the voltage.

    Thanks in advance.

If it is a 7V bulb, a replacement may be had from an early 6V VW speedo. I don't know if I have any, if not I may be able to locate one. What does the bulb look like?

I would email Josep at www.oldautoradio.com.

I have done much business with him and he is a good guy. He has many parts and knows alot about the vintage Blaupunkt radios. If that des not work try Koenigs-Klassik.

    Good luck.

    Lamp

    Hi

I have just replaced my lamp with a 12volt one, and its not great the dial is quite dark. Thew only lamp i could find was a 6volt 200mA and as the original was 7volt 100mA I decided that the 12volt 100mA was a safer bet. If you do manage to get hold of a 7volt 100mA let me know.

    Kind Regards
