    Shift Knob Ideas

I'm finally getting to the point where I need to consider what I'm going to do for a shift knob. I have a late 915 tower with a factory short-shift kit. Ideally, I'd like to use an early-style 915 knob, but since I don't have one I'm going to use this opportunity to explore other options.

I'm always looking for ways to be a little different, so I'd like to hear what kind of input you guys can give in the way of non-stock knob options.

Here's something I found that looked cool, but I'm not sure about fitment: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CUSTO...QQcmdZViewItem

This knob is made by the same company - and is kinda cool, too - but, again, I'm not sure of fitment ... or color:

It was a guy on the 914 board; I was referenced to him a while back; I received no response. I am still looking for a nice replica...

Contact Dave B. at TRE. He may have a few left. I know Ray Crawford has one in his black S ... it was comfortable and classy.

How did he get it to work? It's my understanding that the knobs come threaded. Also, do you have any pictures of it in the interior?

    Shift knob

I remember seeing a 911R with a straight shifter capped with a knob that looked
like it came from a 356C.

Metal is too cold cold cold or hot hot hot. While very cool, they're not quite my style.

I e-mailed the people who are selling the knobs I referenced in my first post and I recieved this website in response: www.creative-car-concepts.com
