    4 piston brake caliper kits

As of right now, I am just putting a feeler out there...

I just put new brakes on my car and I absolutely love them and figured I would offer this to others on the list.

On my ST, I had S calipers that were rebuilt using the SS pistons, new seals and new pads. I have never been happy with the stopping power especially considering I have a 3.2. So I set out looking for a 4 piston caliper that would bolt up without any hokey adapter kits, fit with 15" wheels and most importantly...look period correct. Well I found it. These calipers are brand new and they met all of my criteria perfectly. I have done all the research on them, mounted them on two of my cars, know where to get all the necessary parts and consequently, it is a bolt on system that works perfectly.

Soooo, I have the opportunity to purchase more of these calipers but I am probably limited to a dozen sets.

I am looking at selling kits that are 100% ready to bolt on your car. The only thing needed would be brake fluid and rotors if you choose to replace them. These would be for the fronts only and by the way, I do use the larger 21mm Mercedes Benz master cylinder.

The kit would include two NOS calipers, pads, stainless lines and any necessary hardware. I will also include photo instructions taken from my car.

I am not committed to any of these but I think it is an awesome setup and was just wondering if there would be interest for a dozen sets. I am thinking the price would be in the neighborhood of $800 plus shipping for everything. You can spend that rebuilding a set of S calipers! Or worse yet, how much are turbo calipers now???

    Please give me some feedback.

    Thanks, Chris

P.S. here is a photo of the install on my ST

Chris, what does "Everything " include ? Callipers, dogbones (are these needed ?) wheel spacers (I see thm on your pic).

Do these use the std rotors and what struts must you have to mount the callipers ? later model ones with 3.5" bolt spacings ?

Sorry, I should have been more clear. Wheel spacers are not needed. I only use them to fill the fender out a bit more.

You can use "S" rotors, "SC" rotors or Carrera rotors. I personally use the Carrera rotors but I did have to sand the pads just a bit to get them to fit but there were no clearance issues with the rotors.

"Everything"... well this includes the calipers, pads and the Stainless braided brake lines. The hardware to retain the pads as well as all the brake line fittings associated with the caliper are also pre-assembled.

I don't know what you mean about "dog bones"

These calipers bolt directly to struts with a 3.5" bolt spacing

I have these installed on 3 early cars now and everything works perfectly.

thanks for the clarification. If the callipers bolt directly onto teh struts, tehn dogbones are not required. These are used when the bolt holes for the callipers are a different pitch than the strut or are a 90 degree rotation.

yes, these bolt directly to the strut using the factory bolts. Very simple installation...to tricks.

    Chris,

How large are the brake pads on these? How much bigger than S caliper pads?

Where did you find a 21mm MC? I looked high and low for one of these a few years back and could not find them anywhere. AFAIK, only 23mm is available from Ate anymore, which is what I ended up using.

My appologies... I think you are correct about the 23mm master cylinder. Geese between master cylinders, torsion bars and sway bars, I get my Millimeters mixed up!

    Weight

    Nice setup.

How much do your calipers weigh compared to the S alum. calipers?

Can you give us a photo of the brake pads compared to the S brake pads?

    Thanks,
