Yeah, just a coat of paint and she's as good as new. Looks like it is a second series Touring RS, #615, originally Light Ivory.
Good news is that all the really important stuff seems to be with the chasis. This is an interesting shot that shows one of the strengthing modifications the Factory did to the RS body shell. The shift rod tunnel was reinforced with an extra layer of metal at the access hole for the shift rod coupler.

Cees,
Hello from AJ here in California. In the scheme of things, at about $ 90,000 USD, it seems to me to be quite a fair price if the car is almost all there. You know then that the restoration will be correct at least. Betting they will exceed $ 200K USD before you know it. Interested persons wishing to buy one may be kicking themselves if they don't get into the game NOW! Your thoughts? Will post you some photos of mine soon.

AJ, Brian,
I bet with another 80K for a complete nut and bolt restoration you would end up with a very nice car. I am surprised it has not been sold yet. Didn't now either it is vin number 615, interesting....
Cees
Having done an RS, I see no way that you could restore that car
for 80K. That being said, I would much rather be in the RS at
90K than the 67S that just went for 30K on Ebay.
Mark
80K Euro's, say 105K$ plus a lot DIY....Bodywork and paint by the shop, same for engine and trans, all the tiny bits can be restored by yourself. I believe that amount is reasonable to get the car perfect.
Rgds, Cees
The car is now sold.

Good for you Nick, you're probably the right guy for this project, good luck.Originally Posted by nick-moss

That is great Nick. Now you will have a '73 RS to go with the 993RS.
When I saw this car for sale I actually thought of you as a good candidate to take it on. It will be fun to check your progress on the car through your website. Keep us posted.
