How long does it take to warm up?

    Hello,

My car seems to take forever to get to operating temp. I'm thinking my thermostat may be stuck open. How long should it take? Mine takes about 20 minutes of driving, with 10 minutes on the freeway. The car is a 67 with a 70 e-cam engine running 20-50 Castrol.

    Thanks in advance

    Dave

    Hi Dave,

Welcome to the board! My 72T engine takes about 10 minutes or so to reach operating temp (180deg.). However, the ambient air here is a little warmer than SF!
