    Special Color Catalog

Special Color Catalog. All 22 special colors from the 1968 model year. It is my understanding that these would be for 1969 also as the factory didn’t change colors except on even numbered years. A lot of these would be good samples for other years as well. Comb bound this measures ~ 3 ½” X 9 ½”. The manufacturers paint codes are listed but they don’t correspond to Porsche code numbers as far as I can tell. There is a 1 X 2MM fault to the Ultrablau page. The rest are nice. Not your basic paint “chip” catalog. These should be large enough to use as correct color samples of the period. POR

    Due to several offline requests, here is the entire list of colors;
    17657 medium ivory
    16153 champagne yellow
    R1007 signal yellow
    R1012 canary yellow
    30847 metallic dark red
    52254 crystal blue
    R5012 pastel blue
    52300 metallic blue
    R5013 ultra blue
    62165 golden green
    R6001 signal green
    62163 leaf green
    62109 metallic dark green
    R6016 turquoise
    75742 light grey
    R7030 cloudy grey
    70192 oxford grey
    62166 olive
    R8007 sepia brown
    80342 cocoa brown
    95043 black
    96024 silvermetallic

there are shops that offer “spray out” cards @ $35 ea. for the colors they paint as those colors are used. A couple of years ago I waited 6-8 months for metallic silver and light ivory. Here you have all 22 special colors from the original manufacturer. The other example of this booklet I have is dated 1968, but many of these colors were used before and after that date.

I have this color book as well, same exact colors. It's really something special, and you can really get a true sense of the intensity of these colors vs. the smaller cards. Many of the colors (cloudy grey) I have never seen in person, but look like they might be great on a car.
