If only it was a real RS and not some ordinary US Carrera with a 3.0 engine in it. Brilliantly deceptive copy in the ad though. The seller's a real pro. Already got his shill bidders to put it over $20,000.

$10-$36K are the numbers. For it to be $36K it has to be very special and certainly not tarted up like this one. The blue/blue scheme just doesn't look right on this car. Cheesy.
Sounds like the car was a 100% (not point) mess to begin with.

That's a bargain compared to this one:

    1974 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA $79,950
1974 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA, #143 of 528 Carrera Coupes built for the US market. All original with 12,972 miles. Concours condition, top to bottom. Three time parade winner and 1984 Zone 1 division winner. This Carrera is an original car that has not been restored but is in concours condition with main…

For some truly ridiculous prices on early cars do a search on "traderonline" 1973-1975.

I know this car. It lives down the block, and must be on consignment at EC. The owner bought it from Sloan a few years back; it is absolutely gorgeous, perfectly original. Is it worth $80K? IS ANY 1974 US Carrera? Not in my book, but it IS an awesome car....
