    1967 Sport Seats

Absolutely fabulous pair of 67 Sport Seats from a one owner 33k mile 67. These were in excellent condition to begin with and were not some used up set of cores. They were properly done in Black basketweave with perforated bolsters last year by Autos and have not been used since except to move the 912 that they are in. They are complete with the matching and correct tilting frames. Will try and take some pictures tonight. $6,000 Please e mail me direct Don@Porsport.com Thanks guys.

Seems that Tony was doing them for ~$1500/seat a few years back...if that is still the price, then the buy from Don was a good one.

    I don't think

or understand. I don't think Don, Rennman's seats, have anything to do with these other than Don't were sport seats too. Don's seats sold long ago in March.

Just an FYI... I thought at first that this was an ad by Tony at Autobahn interiors....but it's not, maybe somebody else thought so as well???

Autobahn is a probably too close to TonyAutobahn's "screen name" in my opinion, and perhaps should be changed.

Anyway to reply to the question about redoing these seats. I would say that Tony could easily do these, but it would take more than Tony's current $1650 for vinyl to restore these seats. They will probably need some repair of the metal, beadblasting, new nutserts etc. Figure a few hundred dollars more, and expect to see pitting in some of the metal.

If that is for the pair + a couple of hunderd for repair, than the price is/ will be in line w/ the set Rennman sold.

The "Autobahn" user is Sean Steele from here in San Diego. He's a local Porsche/BMW recycler and has been around for quite awhile doing business as Autobahn, since well before Tony split from Roy's shop and started his own, for sure. He's a good guy, runs a 944 Spec car in local events, and has helped me and a lot of other people out with parts over the years. Maybe if he changed his username to "AutobahnParts" it would help prevent any confusion.
