    Gas gage adjustment

When the gas gage on my72S drops just below 2/4 I am almost out of gas. I will run out before the gage reaches the ¼ mark. The reserve light is working correctly as it comes on just below 2/4. Is there any way to adjust the gage or sender so that it reads correctly?

I have a problem with my gas gauge as well but it is the opposite reading. I burn 8 gallons and my gauge reads E. I was reading over on the pelican site that you can remove the sending unit and inspect the float to make sure it moves up and down smoothly. I think crude builds up and prevents the float from dropping completely. The slides can be cleaned w/ a solvent of some sort buit don't take my word as gospel.

I'll be opening my tank up tommorrow to check it out. I don't think mine has this same issue but we'll see.

Ayup, its not the gauge but the sender in the tank. You will need to pull the sender out and make sure that the float can easily travel up and down the wires with little or no resistance and that the nut on the bottom of the assembly is still afixed. Be very care on de/reinstall since the wires are very delicate. Removal and install is very simple.
