    Peter,
I'm not aware of any "tape fix" for this problem. But, I believe the correct fix can easily be done as follows:
    1. Remove your radio including the radio faceplate.
    2. Open your glove box door fully
    3. Slide out the panel that your radio was attached to (slide it to the right now that the glove box door is out of the way). It should be upholstery glued onto a thin aluminum or metal plate.
    4. Pull back the upholstery enough to re-glue it completely (use 3M spray on adhesive or something similar). After glueing it flat put something weighted (a heavy book, brick, etc.) on it until it's dry.
    5. Then slide it back in to place being careful to keep the re-glued upholstery in the upper and lower aluminum channels on the dash. Re-install your radio, close your glove box door...and your done! (You may have to slightly re-trim the upholstery with a razor since the black upholstery may have stretched over the years.)
    Good luck.

As Richard noted, the material is just glued to the aluminum backing, however the aluminum backing is attached to the dash with double sided tape, wheel weight tape works fine.

3M also makes a thin double faced tape. Called Nameplate Repair Tape part #051131 and thena #in bold red as 06385
This stuff is real thin and does stick! All the advice above is correct. I would use 3M super spray adheasive for the piece that has come up if you can't tuck it back.

I have a roll of that material, sufficient for one dash complete. Purchased some years back ffom the now defunct Automotion. Swallowed up by Performance Products in the late 90's...

Perhaps Autos International can supply you with some similar product.
