Q: anyone specialised in reparing Webasto gas heaters?

    Hi,
I was wondering if there is anyone out there that is somewhat specialised in reparing the Webasto gas heater system of my 67 911S?
As I will be installing a real sports exhaust I cannot use heat exchangers and thus would be grateful if the Webasto could work.
I would prefer someone in Europe, but US recommendations are fine also.
    Thanks!
    Kind regards,
    Anthony

    Webasto gas heaters

    Anthony,

I've searched for several years for a replacement muffler for my Webasto gas heater, with no luck, so far. Parts for these heater systems seem to be quite rare. I've seen a few used units on ebay, but no exhaust system parts. Perhaps, I'm not looking in the right places at the right time? The heater was very effective before I stopped using it due to the condition of its exhaust system muffler. When you ger yours back and installed I'm sure you will be pleased with the BTU's it provides. Should you find a parts source, please post. Good luck with the heater and the '67S.

    John,

There is a poster on this list who sells remanufactured: pipe, muffler and flex.hose. I think his ID is Series900. Search the old threads, a set was offered for approx. $500

Original parts where on eBay in the last year. EASY sold the pipe and muffler for a little over $300, a german guy got like $600 for the same package that Series900 sells. I guess you are not looking at the right time/place.

    Anthony,

Instead of having yours fixed it might be cheaper to get an used one. Ofcourse it will not be the original to your car anymore. If that is an issue, Webasto is still in operation these days. Have you contacted them already?

    Webasto Heater Exhaust Source

    Richard,

Found the tread - Thanks for the lead. Now to contact Series900 to see if he has any systems left.
