Koni red settings on a 67S

Just got new Koni red's that I'll be replacing this weekend. My question is how stiff should I go with these? They appear to have 4 settings, the stiffest being almost impossible to move by hand.. thinking that's gonna ride pretty rough?!

Any of you guys ever mess with the adjustability, is there really that much difference? The suspension is otherwise stock and I'd like to occasionally autocross it so I was considering going full stiff.

I'm sure you are going to get differing opinions on this one. When I bought the '67 they were set at the stiffest setting, but I've ended up at the softest. I drive the car aggressively, but all of the suspension is stock. I consider the car too nice for the track, and for the sometimes rough and uneven street the factory set up really works.

Thanks Chuck, coming from you that's a hell of a compliment.

I don't know if the drives can top last year, that was a blast! BTW I've got a fresh motor and airport ratios in the box this year

Ditto on the softest settings. My '68 was almost undriveable even on smooth pavement with them set on full stiff.

OK, soft it is! I think I'll be a little crazy and go one up from full soft though.. you know, so I feel like I'm faster.

    Thanks!
