    WTB: '69/70/71 Hard Oil Lines

    Hi,
    I am looking to buy the hard oil lines that go inside the rocker.

    Check a junkyard that has a car that can be cut up. Or, you could make your own.

    I believe/think that they are a larger diameter and run external (outside the rocker). I am not 100% sure!

    The lines are different and were run internally through the rockers for those years...

    However, what you have (and maybe are willing to sell) is the start of a very practical up-grade.

    The factory was sneaking up on the best location for the exterior oil cooler thermostat placement from the time they put one of these on (probably in '67/'68) all the way to '73. With almost every year changing the location with a more impractical one.... hung out by the exhaust, hung in the engine compartment... etc. etc. With the 'new' G- series chassis in '74 they figured that placing the thermostat, out of harms and heats way, just ahead of the rear wheel was the best option........ duh !!!!

    Coupling your 'late' hard lines and thermostat with an 'early' radiator type '69-'72 external cooler ... you have a wonderfully efficient cooling system for an early car ............. but not period correct...

    I've had this system on my car for over 15 years ........

    69S hard lines
