    Dash trim removal

How do I remove the alu dashtrim with the basket weave inserts? Are they just glued on and must be carefully pryed off? I have to remove the middle part to get the old 8-track player out of the dash.

    Car is 71T

    thanks

    John-
It's held on by foam double sided tape. Break the bond with a putty knife. Hardware stores sell similar tape for reassembly.

See if you can locate a 3M double sided tape as the general harware store tape "dies" in the heat fairly quickly

There are several nuts (8mm?) that secure the plates to the bulkhead. Undo them and your home free. Don't pry or I'll have to sell you my extras. Haig

Scott, I'm the one nuts. I was thinking on the lower upholstered pieces. Been spending the past few years working on 356's not 911"s. Sorry for the misinformation. Still be careful prying off. Haig
