WTB - CN 36 Pirelli Tires for a '73 RS

Ok, who is hanging on to a serviceable set of CN 36 Pirelli Tires - stock size (185/70/15 & 215/60/15) and would like them to find a new home on a '73 RS? I know this may be a needle in a haystack search, but I thought if I were going to find them anywhere.....someone on this board would know where a set might be.

We are getting down to the final stages of a multi-year full restoration on RS 9113601018 and I'm trying to get it all correct if possible. I'd love to mount up a set on the beautiful Fuchs that Harvey did for me.

Pirelli is remanufacturing the CN36 in 185/70 (at least they were a year ago when I still had my RS), but unfortunately not the 215/60. EVen if you found a pair, they'd be hard as a rock!

yea unless it is just for show and your are trailering the car you do not want to drive on old tires. They are hard and won't handle worth do-do and they are subject to sidewall blow out even if the tread is in like new condition.

A set of CN36s just for show....for now

For now, I am just looking for a decent set to use on the RS for shows. I'll have a proper set of fresh speedrated tires mounted up when I'm ready to ding that beautiful Signal Yellow paint up a little and drive it as an RS was made to be driven.

I know that any tires out there are likely to be pretty old and aren't going to be suitable for much more than moving it around a bit. I'm really looking for the correct tires that will hold air and that we can clean up to a reasonable standard for presentation.

    2 fronts for sale

    I have 2 fronts. (187/70/15).

One that I bought about 8 years ago and was mounted and used to roll an RS on and off a trailer. Now dismounted. Still has the stubbys on it. Stored in a plastic bag. Virtually like new. $125.00

One that I bought from a Perelli rep brand new at about the same time. Never mounted. This must have been a later run and has the "for vintage car only" in raised letters. $50 OBO

Both plus shipping via Fed ex ground.

    Thanks, Matt
