    2.4S fuel pump alternatives?

A friend is looking for a 2.4S fuel pump. He was quoted $600. Any alternatives out there?

Some sites for the original item below... Not sure about the reliability of a second-hand unit. Someone else may know more. There are also aftermarket alternatives and I believe some mercedes pumps may also do the job. Try searching the web using the Bosch #, too.

Doesn't Performance Products sell reman units? Thought I saw those once on their website.

According to Chuck Miller, Performance sells rebuilt fuel pumps.

However when you go to their website, they now only list reman. fuel pumps
    for CIS cars.
