Does anyone happen to know anything about the production of On Any Sunday or the bikes used in it? IIRC my mother once told me that my father (long story but didn't know him) painted some bikes used in that film. I'd be interested in finding out more if anyone has any info.

    Thanks,

    Erik

The primary bikes in the film were Husqvarna's.

Interesting that in the mugshot he is listed as Steven T McQueen. His legal name was in fact Terence Steven McQueen. Technically he should should have listed by his legal name - Terence S McQueen. More than likely the PD was so star struck they made sure to list him as Steven T McQueen so everyone could see who they had taken into custody. Kind of a trophy pic.
Here is a link with a lot of pic's of Steve. His Jag was beautiful...

    Mc Queen's 911

I saw recently a white early 911 here in Germany, undergoing restoration. When I asked if it was for sale, the owner said he want's to keep it because it once belonged to Steve Mc Queen. Does he ever has a 911?

    Steve Mc Queen at Sebring

    story at the side...
for Christmas I got a poster print with the 908 Flunder at Sebring ,the title said Steve McQueen at Sebring. When I looked closely there were 2 mistakes-Steve didn't wear that Helmet-Revson did and the car had the spoiler that was later added and still can be seen at Steve' s in the Peterson museum. The helmet didn't bother me-never liked those integral helmets, but the spoiler lip wasn't original to the car.
After the artist got knowledge of the mistake he made a new print and send me at no charge the new version.Never heard of an artist correcting a painting and sending new prints out to customer-that is Customer service.
Owen Art Studio- and no relation to the mentioned-just service to be mentioned.
