Fuel Pumps: Bendix vs. Hardi 1n 1968

I've been trying to figure out what the correct fuel pump for my car is, a Bendix or a Hardi. The car is a 1968S, and I've found contradictory information both in Porsche literature and by looking at original cars.

I have found at least 3 original cars with Hardi Pumps, and one with Bendix

My owners manual shows the picture of a Bendix
My Technical specifications booklet (Dec 67) shows both the Bendix and the Hardi, but provides no clue as to which one is correct.
On line parts manual shows both, but provides no part number for the Bendix pump
Porsche shop manual also shows both

    Anyone have the definite answer?

    Thanks
    Henry

Smile Bendix vs. Hardi Fuel Pumps

No definitive answer from me; but, my 67S has a Hardi fuel pump feeding it. Clarification from the fuel pump police may be needed!
