    Please ID this steering wheel?

    Hi,
I bought the wheel from a friend who told me that it's a 914-4
I can't find this part number listed any where.
    The wheel #914 347 804 11. dated 12 73.
    Is it the 914-4?
    Thanks
    Burint

My 914 steering wheel has a part # of 914 377 805 10 with a build date of 01/71, so I would say, "Yes sir, you got yerself one genuine 914 wheel".

My question to the learned: I would like to use this wheel without the butterfly, is there a horn button or some type of cap which will cover the center ugliness so I can use it without?

Burint - that is a hard plastic 914-4 wheel that someone has had recovered in leather.

In place of the std 'butterfly' hornpad you can use the early swb horn push.
