    '68 dash core FS

    edit--SOLD! Thanks, Henry!

I am selling the 2-piece dash from my '68 hotrod project. This is in poor condition currently, suitable as a core for recovering. I am offering it for $375 plus shipping, or I can deliver it to Tony at Autobahn Interiors for refurbishing and he can ship it to you when done.

Just to clarify for Henry and others, the flat "front" piece has multiple cracks between the speaker holes above the radio. The "rear" piece (the one that is curved and covers the instrument panel) has no cracks in the covering whatsoever, however, it has one flaw--a warped (or drooping) section about 3" long in the "return" (underside) of the molded semi-circle over the instrument panel. If you are looking for a perfect piece to just bolt in and use, this ain't it. From the top it looks fine, but from a driving position, you find yourself looking directly at the droop right above the speedometer. I showed it to Tony and he thought the droop could be reshaped when it was recovered. He quoted me $375 at the time to recover both pieces, so you could have a new dash for about $750. One of the upsides of the '68 dash is that the windshield does not have to come out to R&R it.

A pic of the warped area:

Another pic of the flaw in the rear piece from the driver's perspective:
