I talked with Bob at the last Rennsport in Daytona. His 74 Carrera was parked next to my 73S with sportomatic in the row of '40 years of 911'. What a gentleman! He spent quite a bit of time talking about the 73sportomatic S that came out his shop for Peter Gregg. Nicest guy in the world.

Gee I'm sorry to hear this news. He was a giant in sportscar racing as well as a big bear of a man. I had the pleasure of meeting him at RRII as well. I was taking this picture of his '74 Carrera and he came up and started talking to me about the car. A very nice guy. In the course of the conversation I asked him short of buying a new car from him how I could get a Brumos license plate frame. He took my name and address and a plate frame arrived by FedEx the following week.

    Godspeed.

A last lap podium finish today at VIR. A good result for what must have been a hard week for Brumos. I hope they will continue to race in the future.
