    Difference between carburator 911 IDA/IDTP

    Hi,
can anyone tell me the difference between the carburator type 40 ida and 40 idtp? They look very, very similar but I think they are different and you can not mount them together on one engine. Unforunately I do not have one matching pair.
    Thanks Alex

    Alex:

The IDTP is an emissions carb. These have leaner idle and progression circuits otherwise they are the same as the IDA.

Now,.....as you can well imagine, these cannot be mixed with an IDA unless the idle circuits are suitably modified and that takes an expert since various holes must be relocated and enlarged.
