    Seat fabric: Still avaliable?

Now I know its not strictly 'long hood' relevant but bear with me.

I'm having my 72E redone....and in the process the issue of seats has come up... Let me explain. I have a 72E with 75 Anniversary seats and door cars in, done possibly in the late 70s as part of an 'update' (I'm guessing here.)

The issue is that the seats are in average condition and 'could' just be repaired and re-used, however the subframe used to mount these tombstone seats in a long hood omit the seat belt fixings... so by the time the new sub frames have been costed, the seats re done.. its getting very close to the cost of replica sports seats with a fabric insert.

The rub is that houndstooth is the standard, and whilst a great looking fabric I have grown to love th somewhat 'softer' appearance of the 75 tartan. I'm wondering if any one knows if this fabric is still avaliable.....

Here is what the seats look like and a detail of the fabric. What I would like to do is purchase new fabric to get the sports seats made up with this fabric in the centre panels as opposed to the houndstooth...

Hang on trying to up load the images...

Wink sitz KIinik or Southbound Trimmers

You should contact either "Sitz Klinik" in Germany or "Southbound Trimmers" in the UK.

I'm sure they have the fabric you are looking for.

    Hi to the UK,
If you do not find the exact fabric-try to get the VW GTI tartan,it's very similar, but more busy.
