    1973 911s Targa

This a rust-free 3 owner california car. The gentleman I purchased it from owned it for almost 20 years. I have receipts for over $35K worth of service and upgrades, original tool kit, manuals, warranty, ect. The exterior was painted black, from the original silver, almost 7 years ago. There are a few door dings on the driver's door, but no rust or accident damage. All exterior seals and lenses have been replaced. Panel gaps and alignment is excellent. The targa top has been professionally redone.

The black vinyl interior is very nice. Perfect dash with no cracks, original carpet, upgraded stereo installed w/out cutting into door panels (aftermarket underdash and rear shelf pieces), new fold down door pockets. All switch gear appears new, no dull lettering w/ cracked rubber surrounds. The only thing that I would do is take care of some splits in the Sport seat vinyl in a couple of areas.

Mechanically this car runs out and drives without fault. For the purist the "fly in the ointment" is that the engine is currently an upgraded 3.2L (Original trani is still in the car and has been rebuilt). The prior owner spent over $10K on just rebuilding the motor less than 20,000 miles ago. This car hauls axx.

I am pricing the car w/out the 3.2 motor. You CAN choose to purchase the car with the existing 3.2L motor, or upgrade to one of the other motors I have (correct 73S, RS, 3.0Carrera, Ruf, whatever). Please let me know and we can price something out.

My asking price, again without engine, is $ 25,000.00

    I'm just a tire kicker...but I have to ask...

Is the "correct 73S" engine the original engine that belongs with the car?

No, it is not the original motor. I just have a couple of extra 73S motors. BTW, I do have a un-numbered 7R case too.

    How much with the 3.2?

The 3.2L motor currently in the car is an un-numbered case motor with 20,000 miles. I have a complete itemized invoice showing what's in it. I will look it up and can fax or email to whomever would like to see it. From what I've seen, a documented 3.2 is worth $7,500-9500.00. Price, as the car sits... $32,000.00
