    Auguste Veuillet #42, 1967

    Greetings,

Does anyone have any pictures of the '67S (Auguste Veuillet, #42, drivers Buchet & Linge) that finished 14th overall and 1st in GT 2 at Le Mans in 1967? or any other information on the car as well.

    The other two 911S were retired (#43 & #60) in the 1st & 11th hour.

    Thanks,

    Sumner

    Sumner,

Here's some info from D. Pascal's 1984 'Porsches at Le Mans' book.

I don't see any info on the car from U. Upiez's 2002 'Porsche in Le Mans' book.

    Sumner,

Pascal also tells us there was a 4th 911S #67 who was diqualified for an oil topping off infraction...

    Not much around...
Found this pic in the Brain Long "Porsche 911 the definitive History 1963-1971"....... of the victory lap at the end of the race.

    Hope this helps,

    The 4th 911S: 307823S, Pierre Boutin: #67, DSQ - early oil fill

    Thanks for the posts. Sumner

This all the information that I have on the 911S which raced in '67. It may not be 100% correct since it is from a number of different data sources.

    308176S, Team: Auguste Veuillet #42: Qualifying time 4m30.3 (Drivers: Robert Buchet/Herbert Linge), GT2000 (1st)

    308101S, Team: Jacques Dewez: # 43: Qualifying time: 4m33.8 (Drivers: Jacques Dewez/Anton Fischhaber^/Jean Kerguen*/Vic Elford*) DNF: clutch

307823S, Team: Pierre Boutin: #67: Qualifying time: 4m38.6 (drivers: Pierre Boutin/Patrice Sanson/Sylvain Garant^), DSQ - early oil fill

911S, Team: Philippe Farjon #60, Qualifying time: 4m33.0 (Drivers: André Wicky/Philippe Farjon/Roland Lefevre^), DNF: Big end bearings

    * Driver entered for car, but never drove it at meeting
^ Driver practiced car, but did not race it

    Driving Lights on #42

This may be a stretch, but can anybody help ID the lower driving lights on #42 in the picture above?

    Thanks,

    Sumner

This may be a little late but perhaps someone can ID the logo on the driving light cover from this photo?

    The covers appear upside down?

Could they be upside down Marchal covers?
