I am trying to install a Weltmeiser Cambermeister on my ’72 911S and have run into an issue that maybe someone can help me with. Per the instructions that came with the strut brace, it states that if the factory rubber around the shock stem has been replaced with two rubber grommets that the top grommet must be removed and cut in half as well as the associated steel sleeve or the Cambermeister bracket will sit too high and hit the hood of the car. As luck would have it my car has the two grommet arrangement, and I am having a tough time sawing the top grommet down to a suitable size. I was wondering if the correct factory style rubber piece is available, or if anyone know an easy way to trim the rubber grommet.

Thanks,
