What do we know about this car?

I found this photo going through some auction items from the Porsche family online.

I presume it's a factory car and from the wheels a '67 911S. I've never seen a Porsche car that advertises it's a test vehicle like this one. Does anyone know what they were testing with it?

It could be a test car from a German magazine, the starbusrt logo looks familiar but I can't place it.

The logo is from the very popular german STERN (i.e. Star) Magazine, its similar to TIME magazine in the US.

I was thinking this car did look like Heinz-Harald Frentzen's Opel DTM car from a few years ago which ran Stern sponsorship. I wonder if other magazines (Powerslide for instance) got the same 'sponsored' treatment?

    Dennis,

Here is the auction website: http://autotechnikauktion.de/

It seems they've obtained many internal family photos, film reels, and neat stuff most of which have come from the Kaes family. They've already run a few auctions with Kaes family items.
