    Sloan - '75 911S FS

Considering where the market is going with the longhood cars this looks reasonably priced at $18K. Silver / black with 68K miles, documentation and the amount of work that's supposedly been completed it looks good.

I feel that the 3.0 SC's and 3.2 Carrera's are next to skyrocket in value. Those in the know realize that the 3.0 and 3.2 engines are some of the best ever built and the 78-89 911's are quite a value at this time.

one of these in my future there is. maybe. this silver looks terribly pretty. but mine will be late-70s version of factory shade : olive green. it's more green less brown than the early car version of the paint. Can you smell the Tabac aftershave already? Or maybe it is vintage PacoRobanne?

Help ma they're gunna wash my car

I dig it. Impact bumpers and chrome window trim w/o flares is cool. While the 3.0 and 3.2 cars are on the rise, these mid-year collectibles are going to surprise a lot of people. The 2.7s on the road now have surely all been updated, and these cars suffer the same attrition from rust that longhoods do. Later 3.0 and 3.2 cars were galvanized and therefore are more likely to survive in numbers. For my money I'd go for a '77, which I believe was the only pre-SC galvanized 911.

If it could be had for $15-16k though, I think this car could be driven and enjoyed for years and then sold with modest appreciation.

    Cheers,
    Mike

A friend of mine had me check out a pristine 19K mile example a few years back. I wasnt impressed with the engine (i think it was a normal 911 instead of an S?), but it was super clean. I told him get it and dont look back. He passed worried about the engine, but i think he made a massive mistake.

Personally, I would love an early 911, but i think i am going to be priced out for the duration. I think my next one will be a 3.2 or a 3.0...

I really like this car. I think the 2.7s are way under-appreciated/valued. The chrome and narrow body win out over the the black trim and flares that come with the 3.0s and 3.2s. I predict these cars will soon surpass the SC's in desirability-- you heard it here first! ;-)
I wonder if Sloan takes trades...

Alan, the only caveat I'd add to your prediction is that a 2.7 MUST have a front cooler, especially where we live !!
