    Rear wiper wiring

I bought a set of "NOS" rearwiper assembly. The wiring harness that came with it has a large switch with no light? In all the pics I have seen and in my other car, the switch for the rear wiper is a small switch to the left of the stering wheel, mounted up under the instrument panel(like in the driver manual) Could this wiring harness and switch, be for something else?

    Rear Wiper Switch

John, that looks incorrect to me based on the switch and wiring on my 1971 with factory rear wiper. Here are pictures of the switch (the upper right one) and motor wiring on my car. Mine is much smaller than the standard switches.

Let me know if you need any other pictures.

BTW, I'll buy your switch if you don't need it - but I swear my need for a switch didn't affect my response!

John, it looks to me like you have parts of two systems. The harness with the red and brown wires looks like the rear portion of the wiper harness that goes to the motor, and the other end picks up power and ground from the engine bay and the other two in the harness pick up the (missing from your picture) wires that come through the tunnel from the switch on the dash. The other harness with the switch looks like the fog light light additional harness and relay socket for the fog lights. The rest of the fog light wiring should already be in the harness tied up with ty-wraps under each headlight bucket, and behind the left rear tail light.
