    Sensors in breather cover?

There are two sensors mounted into the breather cover of my 1969 911S. Can anybody tell me what they do? Are they for the idiot lights?

    Don

Thermo-time switches to control cold-start enrichment. 2,0s have a pair of them, 2,2 and later only have one.

Thanks. Then where is the sensor for the green idiot light? I just put my engine back in and when I go to start it the green light does not go on so I must have neglected to reconnect the wire for it. Wayne's book says to let the starter turnover the engine with the ignition disabled after a rebuild to be sure you have oil pressure before actually starting up the first time. The green light is not coming on when I turn the ignition key.

There is no green idiot light on a '69S. On the oil pressure gauge there are two lights. The bottom is the alternator warning light, and the upper is the brake warning light. It's not until much later that a third light appears in the gauge wired to a low oil pressure switch.

Your pressure indication should be the gauge.
