I am asssisting a friend to change a Nadella halfshaft to a Lobro halfshaft on his 1965 911. The driver's side was changed many years ago before he owned the car but the passenger side still has the Nadella components with some monstrosity of a halfshaft (not original) adapted to work in between the flanges. He has decided to complete the axle conversion to Lobros on the right side. I have managed to find the corect stub axle and a Lobro halfshaft for the conversion. Will the transmission flange from a 914 transmission substitute for the Nadella transmission flange currently in the transmission? I realize that the inner CV will have to be drilled for the rollpins to fit the 914 transmission flange. Other than this, is it a straight substitution? I ask because I have access to an early 914 transmission for parts. Also, is there an article with a good description of the conversion somewhere? All assistance is appreciated.
