    Are spring plate bushing symmetrical?

I have four spring plate bushings ready to replace the ones I removed last weekend. The four bushing have the same part number. Are replacement bushing supposed to be the same inside and outside? I'm confused?

    Joe-

Are these for the '67S or the 912? All the '67S cars had the updated springplates with the vulcanized bushings, AFAIK, but the '67 912 cars had the early style ('65-66) removeable bushings until chassis #354938, and the ''67 911 Normal until chassis #307325. The early style removeable bushings are very different sizes on the inside pivot arm compared to the outside. The later style (vulcanized) are the same.

Check this thread on PP for more info and pics.

What replacement bushings are you using? Neatrix? Polyurethane?

through chassis number 307325, according to Stoddard

Thanks for the info Ttweed. The bushings I removed were the type that were vulcanized to the spring plate. I have three OEM Porsche bushings and one Neatrix bushing. I am trying to locate a fourth OEM bushing.

The Stoddard catalog shows a cut-off two different bushing at "Up to #307325."

I was not aware that Porsche ever sold the bushings for the updated springplate separately, as they were vulcanized to the springplate pivots. I thought you had to buy the whole springplate assembly to get new bushings, and that was the reason for the aftermarket replacements being made.

I have a set of all 4 Neatrix bushings I would sell you for $40 if that would help.
