My SWB Race Car is back on the market...

It's a great car and it breaks my heart to sell it, but I have to press forward.

    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...ad.php?t=14445

I will have the car out at VARA's event at Cal Speedway (Fontana, Ca) the weekend of July 15th & 16th. Haven't decided yet if I'll actually run the event, but I'll be there regardless. This will be a great opportunity to see and hear it.

Since I first posted this ad (please see link), There have been some minor changes:
    - Car is for sale only - no trades
    - I have picked up some additional (6) 15x7 fuch alloys for it...these wheels aren't mounted.
    - I have brand new floor pans front & rear (from Restoration Design) here. The floors in this car could use some help (either I can do this or leave it up to the buyer: we can talk about that one)
    - The carbs are FRESH. Ray Stephens just went through them ($$$).
    - The distributor is FRESH. Henry Schmidt just re-did it.
    - There is an additional opening in the front bumper (below the 6 holes) for the oil cooler...I'm not quite done yet (5/31) with detailing this new opening...I want that to look nice. I should have that done by Fontana...

This is a GREAT BUY! (Rennsport III is coming...)
Please PM me for price, additional photos etc.
    Thanks
    Thom

    Clarification On Price...

    Folks,
I probably had not made this (minor) point crystal clear earlier, and I apologize for that:

I am willing to sell this car SEPARATE (without any spares) as well as a total package**.

This of course lowers the sale price for those who might be trolling for "just" a track car

Again, please PM me for further info.

    Thanks, and Cheers
    Thom

**This being said, I would not have any spares available until AFTER the car is sold...

This car is not an investment...

    It's a race car...
    it makes a wonderful sound...especially at 7200rpm

It's a race car...built from scratch: actually the rarest Porsche out there
    the numbers don't match...
it's not made out of unobtainium parts...

It's a race car...meant to be on course:
How many times have you dreamt of sharing the track with prototype machinery?

It's a race car...it's got rock chips, and imperfections in the paint:
how many times have you thought to take your own pristine 911 out on course, but chickened out, because you're (too) worried about the damn paint? or, or, or...

    It's a race car...and only a race car.
You can get in it and drive it exactly the way you want - hard, at 7200+ rpm with the ceramic-coated straight pipes telling you all is right (for a change) with the world...

Life is too short. Think about that...
Then PM me. I can help...

    Cheers

All the reason to keep the thing. See you at Fontana.

    No, Marco...you didn't...

Not to worry...I have enough life-changing circumstances surrounding me to justify keeping my little honey on the market, until she gets a new, loving home...

I "withdrew" it earlier this year to tend to some tweaks & upgrades - which I'm not quite finished with. I can work those things with any prospective buyer...

Again, I plan to be at California Speedway (Fontana, CA) with VARA on July 15th & 16th. I'll have the car on display**. This would be an EXCELLENT opportunity for anyone (out here on the coast) to see & hear it.

Happy Fathers Day...to all you dads.

    Cheers
    Thom

**The car should be parked across from the main garage area - right near VARA registration.

    Rennsport III looms...

    Car is still available...

We're still on for being at Fontana...
So, come on out - yes, it will be hotter than hell...but, if I gotta be there, there's no reason you can't come out, is there?

    Cheers

    Thanks for the response...

There have been more than a few inquiries (via PM) on this car.
There's something I'd like to amplify, and make crystal clear:

The Pricing Is Negotiable!! (Always has been... )

So, come on out to the track (Cal Speedway) this weekend, and let's talk!

    Cheers
    Thom

PS - INITIAL ASKING PRICE HAS BEEN SUBSTANTIALLY REDUCED...
