Thread: What does "Equipment: 470" code stand for?

What does "Equipment: 470" code stand for?

The reply from Porsche arrived, but brings some more questions, so here's one more:
-What does "Equipment: 470" code stand for?
-Is there a way to decode in detail this 470?
-Is there any way for me to know what kind of seats did the car left the factory with?

    Thanks,
    Vasco Ricardo

    Hi,

I got an email from a contact at Porsche whom I asked about 470 Comfort-Equipment on my 2.2Ss

    He said

"470: Comfort-Equipment means Instruments and Oiltank 911S and leathersteering wheel"

Thanks Alan, I've seen your (and the other guys) posts on DDK about the "Infamous 470". I've taken it to another level, literally: http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...ad.php?t=15893

    :-)

    Cheers,

This was posted earlier at this board:

According to my 1969 Factory Accessories list (Revision1, dated 1/1/69), 9076 was the 911T 'Comfort Group' option.

    It includes:
    "14 x 5 1/2 alloy wheels

    Leather Steering Wheel
Rubber Tipped Bumperettes, front and rear
911S Rubber Mouldings on front and rear and both sides
    Ventilated Disc Brakes
    Chromed Rocker Panels
    500-Cycle horn
    Aluminum Door Sills
    Gold Lettering Porsche Name Plates
    Self-Levelling Hydraulic Front Suspension
    Full Velouran Carpeting"

Thank you very much guys, but my car is an "S" (actually, if you say it out loud, it's sounds funny!) model, not T, so all the stuff you've mentioned on that 470 option should be standard, right?
