Cleaning out the garage - Part Deux

O.K, I need to clean out the garage a bit. My car efforts these days are focussed on newer stuff (read modding the GT2 !)

Anyhow I just posted some misc. parts on ebay:

    Hella 118 lights
    Momo Prototipo
    chrome horn grills with cutouts
    RS air compressor bottle
    other stuff

Here's a link to one item and you can then view all of my items for sale.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...2703832&rd=1,1

Incidentally, the last time I posted stuff for sale on here, people PM'd me saying they wish they would have gotten a fair chance to buy. This time I got an email wondering why me, a longtime member of the Board, wouldn't give my fellow Board members the first shot at this stuff???

Damned if I do, damned if I don't!!!

I don't really know what any of this stuff is worth in today's market, so I turned to Ebay. My apologies if this bothers anybody.

Happy Fathers Day to all you Dads out there!!!!!

I might be wrong but I think pair 1 and 3 are not 118's. Pair 1 is I belive to be similar to TN1/TN2 lights, but with a different Hella marking on the lens. Pair number 3 are not Porsche aux lights. Pair number 2 are one 118 euro fog and one 118 driving light.

I am not trying to harm the sale of these parts, but think it is important to be sure of what we buy. I guess Michael(70SATman) can correct me if I am wrong on the light info.

You are correct John. Also the amber lights have a different bulb shield than the Porsche US fog application. Cases are the same. Lenses are obviously different.

The third set of lights are an Opel application I believe. The lense/reflectors are the same and can be used in our cases.

118 actually refers to the reflectors and not the lights themselves. I've also seen the same reflector types marked 115.

All three sets are aftermarket versions.

    Guys,

Thanks for the input re the lights. I always (mistakenly!) thought the 118 referred to the lights/housings, rather than the reflectors.

I will amend my ads to refer to this thread to ensure that any potential buyers are better informed than I.

And of course, I will suggest that anybody from this Board defer to the experts rather than me!

    Good luck to all.

    Cees,

Regretably , one of our RS-owning brethren cut me a pre-emptive deal before anybody bid on the item on Ebay (hence I was free to pull the listing). I will leave it up to him if he wishes to "out" himself!!

Sorry I only had one. Hope you're surviving parenthood on your side of the Pond! Best regards.
