    Gas tank lateral support

I need to get the part in the picture. I am preparing, an collecting parts for doing the tank support/front pan job on this car after I return from summer holidays. There is a hole in this part right below the battery box. The hole dos not show in the picture. I found at Resto design the part number 4 under chassis section. Is this the correct part? I have allready bought pan and support from Rennspeed in the US.

No, #4 is the piece that is *inside* the trunk area next to the gas tank. You are going to need to 1) fabricate that piece, 2) find a donor for that piece or 3) find an NOS replacement, which I believe includes the entire sidewall and maybe part of the shock tower.
I would chose option 1, but you've circled a pretty big area. However, that is a fairly flat piece. A donor is likely rusty...maybe the very bottom portion from a later vehicle is the same though?

actully bill is correct with his assumption about later model chassis sections being adaptable to your car. We just did this using a 82 section on a 70 model. it takes a some detail work, but in the end it is indistinguishable
