Does anyone have experience of one of these on their car?
Pictures appreciated.

how are these bumpers mounted? is it a free-for-all where each one is a little different (custom solutions) or is there one universal way for attaching them?
thanks.
Pretty much like the stock bumpers. The front has tabs for the support which you have to drill to fit. I've seen two types of rear brackets that uses 8mm bolts under the car. First was just a steel flat bar that was fiberglassed in to the bumper and the other was actually like the stock bumper, but in fiberglass. As with the brackets, not all fiberglass bumpers are the same. I've seen really nice ones that fitted perfectly and others that was either too short, small, or twisted making it almost impossible to fit correctly without major surgery. Given the shipping on these large items, make sure you get one from a quality manufacturer, the returns could kill you. Good luck.

Does anyone have photos of the brackets that mount the rear FG bumpers to the body?
Thanks!
The brackets are shaped roughly like the steel parts used in the stock installation. Two holes must be drilled in the L-shaped part of the bracket to bolt to the chassis, and the cupped end is glassed to the inside of the bumper.Originally Posted by 37yrold911
These FRP bumpers are so light they can actually be installed with a few 6mm throughbolts in the top flange. The bracketry may add a little stiffness and reduce vibrations in the bottom edge of the pieces while running at speed, but they are not going to actually provide much protection in a collision.
