1969 Burgundy 911 at Canepa Design

No affiliation, just an interested potential buyer. Would anyone have any info on this 1969 911 that is being sold by Canepa Design in Scotts Valley, CA:

    http://www.canepa.com/inventory/collect/groupR.html

It appears to be a beautiful and well done car and I vaguely remember a thread on a similarly beautiful burgundy 911 in CA many months ago.

    Thank you, Rodney

    Yes, that's Frank Enea's car - breath-taking attention to detail & quality.

I don't know the current asking price but last year it was up for $85k.

I knew I remembered that car from somewhere. Thanks Mike, for the thread link. I've inquired about the price, but my gut tells me that it hasn't changed. Rodney

such a beautiful car. i remember looking over the pics in the original thread and just salivating. un-freaking-real how much effort went into that car.

not sure why a 911S owners manual is included with the car.

Yeah, should really be a 912 manual shouldn't it

No mention in their ad that it's not a 911......

i surely would love to see a copy of the build sheet/parts list for that car. not that i will ever own or build something that nice but it'd be neat to see just what's involved in a 'if i won the lottery' kinda way.

perhaps there is a writer somewhere on this board that might convince Excellence to do a story on the car and it's build up?

Frank's car is gorgeous. If you've seen it you know why it's $85K. Not that I'd spend that kind of cash on a rod, but whoever buys will get value out of it.
