    74 heat exchangers on a 72

    Question for the experts

Can I use 1974 heat exchangers on my 72 MFI engine. I know I need to weld in the preheat pipe, but are there any other issues associated with using the newer heat exchangers.

Question arises as I have access (for free) to a set of 74 stainless heat exchangers

Thanks in advance for the help

    clarification

    I apologize, I wasn't very clear.

The preheat pipe I was referring to is the pipe at the top of the left / drivers side heat exchanger, not the preheat /snorkle pipe.

I realize snorkle pipe is not present on SSI heat exchangers.

    Thanks
