    Ah, but see, it was a 911E, not an S! I spoke to him yesterday after it already sold, but was kind of curious as to what exactly this car was. He explained to me it was a 911E, but took the engine out and had someone built it to S specs with carbs. $1000 still looks like a deal though!

    OK, $1000 is a GREAT deal if you want to flip the car and cash out some money. Otherwise, it's $1000 + $50000 resto = $51,000.

    I'm sure some would disagree, but I wouldn't be snapping up an early 911 merely to part it out for a few bucks. Bad juju.
