The Craigslist ad is wrong. The BAT ad says it has been repainted once in its original color. Since it was probably the owner who produced the Craigslist ad I would say he's not mistaken, he's lying.
"Does not have any sign of ever been repainted" gives enough wiggle room to be an accurate statement.
He could be saying "there is no outward appearance (tape lines, overspray, texture, etc) that the car has been repainted."
Still a bit deceptive though.
