We are proud to offer you this 1973 Porsche 911T a straight, dry and sorted example of a rare MFI "T" with the "S" Package included for sale!
Well-sorted examples of classic Porsches are a rarity in any
marketplace, but to find one of the final long-hood 911Ts, with the
purist-coveted mechanical fuel injection (MFI) system is a vastly
different story altogether. This is one of 1,252 MFI 911T Porsches to be
delivered during the final half-year of the long-hood Porsches, and,
between the quality of the car, the options equipped to it, and the
heritage that comes along with it, there's no other car on the market today like it.
    LIST OF FEATURES & UPGRADES:
Per the previous owner, this incredible machine was factory-equipped
    with the following options:
    ? US Equipment
    o Antenna
    o Blaupunkt Frankfurt Radio
    ? Comfort Equipment:
    o Velour Carpeting
    o Alloy wheels (Fuchs)
o Sway bars (front and rear)
    o Aluminum door sills
o 911S rubber moldings on bumpers and below doors
    o 911S instruments
    o Leather covered steering wheel
    o Aluminum rocker panels
    o Aluminum fender trim
    o Air conditioning (dealer installed)
The first owner purchased the car new from a Los Angeles Porsche
dealer on December 29th, 1972. They were apparently a brand enthusiast
with prior Porsche purchases, and they mainly used the car as a
weekend driver, ensuring that it received regular maintenance from a
local mechanic. This continued from the 911's purchase in 1972 until its sale to the second owner in 2011.
The second owner, who, per the previous owner, enjoyed the car for a
number of years, began taking the car to a mechanic local to the
Monterey Park area for regular service. The owner of the shop,
apparently a Porsche enthusiast as well, sought to expand their Porsche
ownership to this 911T after seeing it regularly at their shop for a few
years. When it tentatively became available in late 2015, they purchased it and immediately began work on it.
According to the previous owner, the third owner extensively consulted
with local air-cooled Porsche specialists to ensure the quality of the
work they were doing was appropriate for the car, and over the following
years, they performed a number of services to get this 911T running
    brilliantly.

Merit Partners is pleased to present this matching numbers 911T that was mechanically restored by Porsche Classic. This car came to us from a good client who took this car to Porsche Classic for a complete mechanical restoration. We have had the car checked by a couple of local shops and they said it is about as good as it gets for the mechanical side of the car. We agree as we have had many of these cars and this is the best driving car we have ever had. No expense was spared and the engine runs like it did in the early 1970’s. We have all the Porsche Classic service records and the car is presented in it’s original color. It has been resprayed but we found no accidents or damage on the car. Inside the car is largely all original and everything functions well. Prices and a restoration by Porsche Classic have gone up significantly since this car was done and this car is ready to go and provide many years of driving pleasure for the new owner.

The magnificent 1972 Porsche 911T 2.4 Coupe featured here is finished in rare and highly desirable Signal Yellow over a black interior. Meticulously maintained from new and recently serviced including complete engine service, transmission rebuild, and new clutch. This extremely rare and desirable external oil filler model is among one of the most collectible and desired of the early 911's. This investment grade 1972 Porsche 911T 2.4 Coupe still retains its original matching numbers engine and transmission making this the perfect example to add to any premier collection.

    Dealer Description:

    - An Exceptionally Optioned & Well-Preserved Time Capsule
    - Sunroof, Air Conditioning, Comfort Equipment, Ski Rack & More
    - 1-Owner from New-2017, Lifelong California ''Blue Plate'' Car

    - Complete Numbers-Matching per Porsche Certificate of Authenticity
    - Verified by Porsche Classic Technical Certificate
    - Retains Majority Original Aubergine Paint and Beige Leather Interior
    - Includes All Keys, Books, Tools, Jack, Spare, Accessories, & Documentation File
    - Outstanding Concours Preservation Class & Touring Candidate

Porsche's Certificate of Authenticity confirms 9113103244 was completed in June of 1973, wearing Aubergine (40) paint over Beige Leather (86) upholstery, with U.S. Equipment, Forged Alloy Wheels, Stabilizer Bars F/R, Chrome Strip – Fender, Comfort Equipment, Tinted Glass All Around, Electric Sunroof and Pirelli Tires. Still wearing those options today, along with its factory applied paint, upholstery, glass and trim, this 911 also retains its original numbers-matching CIS 2.4L engine and 5-speed transmission, along with its original dealer installed air conditioning.

3244 was sold new at Masterson Porsche/Audi of Ventura, California on August 31, 1973 to a Mr. Wood of Santa Maria – one day after receiving its A/C system, according to the Maintenance Record booklet. The car would remain in California under Wood's stewardship until 2017 in remarkably original condition, with a current mileage of 76,700. This particular 1973 911 is what enthusiasts would call a time capsule or time-warp example. Understandably, some components, such as consumables simply have had to be replaced in order to assure its exceptional drivability.

Paint meter readings confirm proper depth of the bright paint, with two small blends around the headlights. Both bonnet and bumper appear untouched. All leather, vinyl and carpeting present in extraordinary original condition, including the crack-free dash, a remarkable anomaly unto itself. Plastic and rubbers remain supple throughout the vehicle, while all glass, chrome, zinc and anodization appear correct and untouched. Both original Can-Am and California emissions decals are adhered to the rear glass quarters. All 5 wheels are date stamped 5/73. The undercarriage presents as expected, completely solid and tidy with untouched original coatings, finishes and plugs.

Drivability is top-notch, extremely responsive and adapt for city, highway and country touring, with excellent compression across all cylinders - mating well to a crisp shifting 5-speed transmission, reactive brakes and suspension. All five Pirelli CN36 tires were installed in recent years – as it originally wore. Other recent services addressed new fluids, filters, shocks/strut inserts, belts, plugs and ignition accessories. Followed by shift couplers F/R, oil sending unit, R&I intake box, R&I pedal box assembly, and an air conditioning recharge.

A 2021 inspection and scheduled service, highlights included a restoration of the vehicle's original Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio by the experts at Vintageblau and authentic Porsche muffler. This was followed by a Porsche Classic Technical Inspection with awarded Certificate, performed by Texas' only Porsche Classic Partner. Numerous recent invoices are compiled in a binder.
This spectacular 911 comes fully outfitted and complete with its VIN-matched original Maintenance Record booklet and Owner's Manual in pouch, alongside the Emissions Control System pamphlet, all Blaupunkt Frankfurt manuals/books/warranty cards, Golde sunroof manual, emergency sunroof crank, both sets of keys with leather fob/pouch and Porsche Lackstift (touch up paint). Additionally, the original tool kit, jack, date coded spare, corresponding Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, period servicing records from the mid-late 1970's, and a copy of Wood's ''Pink Slip'' accompany. Complementing the longtime equipped Mohn ski racks is a set of matching vintage K2 snow skis.

Having been lovingly cared for and unspoiled for the last half-century, this unrestored, final-year, early 911 is presented as a true benchmark for originality and preservation. Ideally suited for the Porsche enthusiast in search of what must surely be one of the finest examples in this specification presently available.
