just a little back ground for posterity sake ...

This car was in an auction in nh about a month ago ... looks like it ebayed for 35k but the add is still on boston clist

    http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/4704725298.html

ebayer appears to be located in ossippe nh which is where the auction people are from ...hmmm

I found out about the auction two days before it went off and called them about. Got a nice lady with a bit of a north country accent on the phone .. "jesus the phone has been ringing off the hook about that thing, estimates are it will go in the 30 to 40k range." too short of a notice for me to get up to see it and it sounded like the cat was out of the bag anyway. it was unpolished in the original pics. Looks like someone bought it and cleaned it up for a quick flip

Lots of problems. Wrong mirror, wrong fog lights, wrong wheels, wrong seats, wrong rear license panel area, aftermarket sunroof. Asked for engine number, got a shot showing a Federal compliance sticker for a '77 2.7.

Already bid well over value at $31,100

OK, so I did go ahead and buy this car.
I won't have much time to get to it until later in the year, but it is in my warehouse and available now.
    What I know so far:
It is a 1973 911T, no sunroof coupe with power windows.
It has clean CA title and original, correct matching blue and yellow plate.
Solid floors but will need a front pan.
Motor is an unmarked green shrouded (2.7S?) with Weber 40's.
Stored for a decade but, 'ran when parked' (I always wonder about this statement so take that for what it's worth).
Has some pretty decent original interior but aftermarket seats.

Great donor for a low budget RSR or resto track rod.
    $10,000.

I thing that's GelbGrun - Golden Green. I see a color shift between the quarters and lid. Looks to me as if the engine lid has been repainted. Still, a valuable car.

    Seller's Description:
1969 Porsche 911T Sportomatic Targa -White/Black. This is a very exciting example of a early long nose, Sportomatic Porsche 911. We purchased this Porsche from it's long time owner/enthusiast that regularly serviced it at Steinel's Autowerks (very well known and trusted Porsche shop) Sportomatic 911s are getting harder and harder to find as many were converted hence they are becoming very collectible and valuable. This example is extremely solid without past or present corrosion issues and with one good repaint that meters very well. The heart of this classic Porsche is a strong running 2.7L Transplant with proper updates that was also completed by Steinels Autowerks. This update is something that enhances this car with welcomed torque and power and most of all a great Sound! This car does have the original correct date-stamped wheels and rear deck lid for the customer that prefers the original look. Many other original interior and exterior parts including 8 track player, headlight surrounds, and various other trim pieces are included. Actual mileage unknown-odometer reads 40,927.

looks a bit goofy with some of the choice there, but it isnt too far off from being a nice car!
