FS: @eBay - Another Sepia Brown Coupe - BIN: $74k

No affillation. Exterior looks nice but has newer large flag rearview mirror. Weird interior, odd carpet and seat upholstery does not look right.
    -------------------------------------------
Offered by Abreu Motors, Carmel, Indiana
    1972 2.4L MFI 911T Coupe
    VIN: 9112102220
    Engine: ?
    Trans: ?
    Mileage: 3,294 (Indicated)
    Price: US $73,895.00 (BIN)

    Seller's Description:
1972 Porsche 911 Coupe T. - Sepia Brown over Brown Leatherette Interior - 130,000 miles.

If you are looking for an early 911 that has been lovingly maintained, this is just the one for you. A visual stunner, this 911T is in Very Good, Original Condition, with the exception of one repaint in original Sepia Brown. Matching numbers, this is an excellent example of an original 911 from a desirable year.

Interesting facts about the '72: displacement increased from 2.2 liters to 2.4, mirrors went from round to rectangular, and the 911T increased its hp to 140, from its original 110 hp. According to a 1971 review in Road & Track, it was affirmed that “the 911T's peak power comes at 5800 rpm, (less than the 911S and 911L), but the more powerful versions have more power and torque up through the rev range, not at the low end...so that in most road situations, you'd never be aware of either a lack of power or a deficiency between the T and the L or S.” In other words, when driving at everyday speeds, the 911T will not disappoint, and has the acceleration power that feels just as good as the more powerful S and L models, at a fraction of the selling price.

Highlights: Strong transmission – shifts easily. Records are plentiful, going back to the '80's. Over 70 documented services, between 3 previous owners.

All original, with exceptions for the radio, a very visually appealing dash cap, and the repaint in original Sepia Brown. Certificate of Authenticity.

Restorations: Refinished original Fuchs wheels (5), headliner, interior carpet, trim, windshield, seals, rear tail lamps, and ac blower. Engine transmission out serviced at 09/2012.

The a/c is not working, but has dealer installed vents. This is an issue found in most older 911's. Early 911's are robust cars but are also up to and beyond 4 decades old, so purchasing a Pre-Purchase Inspection is always wise. A buyer should plan to have some financial investment in these cars after purchase. However, if well maintained, they will be wonderful drivers for years, and as an added bonus, have a propensity to appreciate in value.

Missing all of the fender to body seals front and back. Says one respray in original Sepia yet they is a lot of light ivory paint around the B pillar emissions sticker. I agree the interior looks strange, says Fuchs wheels refinished (5) the spare rim looks awful. Ok, who's next?

Ivory paint? Just looks like paper backing exposed by worn off silver metallic coating.

'73 911T listed at the Mecum auction in Anaheim. Very low miles, appears to be original. Supposedly original paint. Did not sell at $90K.

    Thank You.

We At Carrera Medford are proud to offer what might be the finest '73 911 2.7 RS Outlaw car for sale in the US. This is a stunning example of what can be done with a big budget and endless hours of love, time and devotion. The current owners journey started in 2003 with a completely Rust Free 1973 911T purchased out of Portland Oregon. After owning numerous Porsches through the years they sensed that this one was destined to be very special. Their desire was to create a car with a stock appearance without the stock engine or horsepower. It seemed fitting to start with a 100% nut and bolt rotisserie restoration by highly acclaimed Redstone Restoration out of Sisters Oregon. Their unparalleled work and attention to detail can be seen at every corner. From fit and finish to the Light Ivory paint that was chosen as seemingly rare and correct choice for the year. Nothing was left to chance with the interior as well. Utilizing the talents of Ocean Beach Boat & Auto Upholstery of San Diego, high quality hides in a Merlot color tone was chosen for the interior. The original Targa Top was restored by Dave Brown in Boulder Colorado. Then came the fun part, choosing the right engine to transform a 911T into a 2.7 RS Spec car. Only the best would do. This was accomplished by renowned racing engine builder and Porsche racing expert Jeff Gamroth of Rothsport Racing in Portland Oregon. Tim Morris of German Master Tech in Bend Oregon was the orchestrator of this year+ long process. Because the complete build is too lengthy for mere words we do have a build book with receipts on request. Here are the highlights. · Rothsport Racing extensive suspension kit · Light weight aluminum trailing arms · New Bilstein Shocks · Rothsport Racing 2.7 RS Spec engine (see dyno test) · New transmission · Larger drilled disc brakes · Stainless sport exhaust · New dash and instruments · An original '73 Porsche radio · Correct restored 15" Fuchs · Michelin XWX 185 15" tires The most impressive element of the build was the tremendous difference in power the RS engine provided. With the extensive suspension and brake work this piece of automotive art is a amazing experience to drive. This Porsche is definitely a drivers car. With outstanding performance and handling this Porsche must be driven to appreciate. The true value of this extensive build is in the RS engine and handling characteristics. Feel free to call with any detailed questions.

I have no problem with learning of new sources for our cars. The broker respectfully introduced himself and then his client's car.
