The red 73T looks shiny but raises lots of red flags to me. Red overspray on the underneath looks recent, lots of red mechanical parts look recent, does not gel with the description of 8k miles since 1982 and nothing touched since the 1970's

I sent him a text and an e-mail and got no response.Doesn`t reply to an E-Bay question either.I saw those items you mentioned, plus more.Either way you would need a PPI at the least or a hands on inspection. If they had a Gamroth 2.7 or or similar setup I would go look for myself. They always look good in photos.

    VIN not posted. Asking $175k.

I have personally examined this car, and was allowed a short drive as well. Most original long hood car I have seen , equivalent to cars that have spent their life as PCA concours queens, but actually driven for about 25000 miles, even though you can only tell by the tire wear, and some dirt & grit on the suspension. One good detail away from showroom new.
    VIN is 9113103094
    Engine No is 6135564
    paint code 022-9-2

The paint is all original and in like new condition. About 4" scratch on divers door only defect.

    Auction Description:

This 1970 Porsche 911T is a partially restored example that has had it’s original engine swapped with a 2.2 liter flat-six unit from a ’71 911T. The previous owner performed the engine swap in 1984, and repainted the car red a year later. The car was purchased by the current owner 14 years ago and enjoyed for a little over a year before being parked to address rust issues in 2004. After several bouts of starting/stopping repair work, the owner wants see to the car back on the road and has decided to sell. Extensive service records from the previous owner are included, and the car carries a clean Illinois title.

The car has not run since rust repair began in 2004. The owner planned on getting the car running for limited use and then replace the front floor pans this summer, but other commitments have halted repair work. The body appears straight with no significant dents or dings evident.

Originally painted Irish Green, the car was resprayed bright red in 1985 and presents well. Normal wear has accounted for a few minor chips in the paint, and the owner notes that some bubbles are apparent on the doors. The car is currently fitted with 14″ Fuchs wheels in serviceable condition, and the owner has also included a set of never mounted 16″ polished alloys by Al Reed that can be seen in the image gallery below.

Exterior rubber, lights, and glass are in good condition, and all of the badges are present. The car’s chrome trim appears bright with no major pitting or oxidation visible in the images provided.

The owner notes that the car has rust in the typical areas of the floor pan, rear seat pans, rear parcel shelf, and front suspension pan. Several images of the problem rust areas and repair work already performed have been provided by the owner. Inside, door jambs and sills are in good shape, and the original dash pad and panel are still in place. The car came equipped with A/C from the factory. The A/C lines and drier are intact, and the original A/C compressor and condenser are included.

Advertised at producing 125hp when new, the 911T’s 2.2-liter engine used a low 8.6-to-1 compression ratio and carburetors. The previous owner’s records indicate the engine was swapped out with a used 1971 unit with 67,853 miles back in 1984. The current owner drove the car 165 miles home after purchase in 2002, and aside from a few stalls due to a clogged fuel filter, reported that the ride was enjoyable. The engine was said to run strong, but leaked quite a bit. After being parked for rust repair, the car was started every month through 2005 until the battery finally died. In October 2015, the gas tank was sand blasted then cleaned and resealed at a radiator shop.

The master cylinder was removed last month to address rust below the pedal cluster. Once the rust repair is finished, the owner notes that to get the car running again the front brake lines need to be replaced, the brakes bled, the fuel pump and rubber fuel lines replaced, the engine and transmission fluids changed, and the carbs cleaned. No service records from the repairs under the current owner exist, however the previous owner has provided receipts and documents from routine maintenance, the respray, and the engine replacement.
