    Auction Description:

    This 1970 Porsche 911T is a matching-numbers example finished in Albert Blue over black leatherette with a known history from new. The car has been in Spokane, Washington since new, and was originally sold in July of 1970 to a professor at Gonzaga University. A trio of good friends and local PCA members were the next custodians, and the car has been with the current owner for 12 years. New paint and mechanical freshening were carried out in the 1980s, and the car has recently received a new second gear syncro and clutch for its five-speed transmission along with a valve adjustment and oil change. Described by the seller as an honest and original 911T, its sale includes a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity along with neatly organized service and ownership records and a clear Washington State title.

    The car reportedly received a single repaint in its original, uncommon shade of 1818 Albert Blue in the 1980s. The work appears to have been done to a high standard and still presents a deep gloss overall. Blemishes include a handful of chips and touchups on the nose, along with superficial marks visible under certain lighting conditions.

    A handful of dings is visible in the rear license plate area, while other panels appear free of more serious dents or signs of repaired damage. The car exhibits no signs of rust issues or past repairs according to the seller. Slotted 15″ chrome wheels bear correct date codes and are wrapped in new Nexen radials.

    Metalwork including rocker strips and window trim appears straight and bright with occasional light scratching. Glass and weather stripping show well for the most part, while minor scuffs are visible on rubber bumper inserts. Plastic lenses appear free of large cracks or condensation, though one front marker is slightly faded.

    The interior is largely unrestored and looks good for 46 years and 152k miles. The front seats have been fitted with later-model retractable belts and their upholstery appears in good condition, with slightly loose fit and a small split seam on the driver’s side but otherwise showing minimal wear and tear. Door panels are in similarly good condition, though the seller notes their swing-out map pockets would benefit from attention. Carpeting is protected by thick aftermarket mats and the headliner is said to be intact.

    A nicely-fitted dash cap rests over the original and looks free of distortion or damage aside from a small crack in its speaker grille. Basketweave and metallic dash inserts appear straight and clean, setting off gauges and switchgear with bright lettering. The period Blaupunkt tri-band radio was sent out for new electronics and reportedly works well, as do the remainder of the gauges and electrics. Air conditioning is not equipped.

    Under the rear deck, the 2.2-liter flat six was originally rated at 125 horsepower with Zenith carburetors for early 911Ts. The numbers-matching unit here was reportedly refreshed in the 1980s, and the car is said to run well and start quickly without excessive smoke whether hot or cold. Valves were last adjusted 3,000 miles ago, and an oil change was performed at the same time. Engine block stamping showing engine number 6106112, which matches the included COA. The tidy engine bay shows the addition of aftermarket ignition parts and a tensioner upgrade. The five-speed manual transmission has recently been freshened with a new second-gear syncro and fresh clutch. Shifting is described as smooth and clutch take-up free of chatter or slip.

    Underneath, the main floor pan appears clean in the photo above. Some evidence of weeping fluid is visible according to the seller, who says no serious leaks or drips are present. According to the seller, the car was ordered with 911S brakes and suspension per its Kardex card, and the brakes are said to give good feel and modulation while the car tracks as it should with no steering play. The Porsche COA confirms the original color of 1818 Albert Blue and the engine number. Extensive service records are included and the car also comes with original manuals, a dealer service book with stamps through 1982, a factory tool kit and matching chrome spare. The car was driven to Portland, OR and back without incident for the historic races in July, and the seller says the new owner can drive it with confidence.

    This 1969 Porsche 911T Targa, one of just 282 produced that year, is an exceptional example of the first-generation open 911 after a skillful and comprehensive restoration to exacting standards. A two-owner car, it shows 82,351 miles on the odometer and is documented with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity that confirms it was factory equipped with a tinted windshield, tinted and heated rear window, front and rear bumperettes, antenna and a 911S fuel tank. Its matching numbers 2.0L/130 HP flat-6 engine was recently thoroughly serviced, including valve lash adjustment, rebuilding and tuning its twin Weber triple choke downdraft carburetors and rebuilding the alternator. Yellow zinc parts were correctly replated, the fan and housing were correctly refinished and surrounding sheet metal powder coated for extra durability. The engine room overhaul was completed with new oil lines and return tubes, spark plug wires and fan belt. Finishing the drivetrain is a rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission. The suspension has likewise been renewed and upgraded with new Bilstein heavy-duty shock absorbers, Turbo-specification tie rod ends and 4-wheel alignment. Finally, new Dunlop tires were mounted on reconditioned Fuchs wheels and the ride height adjusted to European specification. A rust-free California black plate car, it is now cloaked in beautiful new Silver Metallic paint and wears new German-manufactured window seals. In addition to the original Orange bar hood crest, the car features replated chrome and new decor trim, turn signal and tail lamp lenses. A rare touch is the factory muffler skirt, an item often lost to time and use. The interior came in for its own thorough renewal by Autos International of Escondido, California, who are famous for their award winning Porsche interiors and tops. The reupholstered seats and dash feature German-sourced vinyl and Houndstooth inserts. A new parcel shelf, new door pockets and a new carpeting kit were added, and the Targa top is virtually new after being rebuilt and recovered. The instrument panel was upgraded to a 911S unit with fully functioning gauges and a working Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio. This 1969 Porsche 911 Targa is a great way to experience the Porsche magic.

    Delivered new to the USA, this 911T is one of only 1,302 'long hood' Coupés fitted with K-Jetronic CIS (Continuous Injection System), the Bosch-developed fuel injection system only fitted to models exported to the USA. Fitted with mild cams, and possessing an exceptionally smooth idle, this 140 horsepower 911 variant is one of the most enjoyable to drive and considered the most collectible of the 'pre-impact bumper' 911Ts. With stainless steel heat exchangers and Carrera lower valve covers, the wonderful Type 911/91 engine shows good compression on all cylinders and drives via the original Type 915/12 five-speed manual gearbox.

    This 911 was originally delivered in Monterey California and has been imported to Europe in 2001 by a Dutch collector. I purchased the car in 2008 and had it professionally restored to its original specifications. All mechanical parts were overhauled as well as a total bare metal respray in its original 'aubergine' colour. The car had no rust and is still fitted with it's original panels and floors. The engine has been fitted with Weber carburetors which improves the reliability and power. The interior has also been renewed.

    The car is full matching numbers as proven by the Porsche Certificate of authenticity. The original invoice as and some service history are available as well.

    I've had this car for over 8 years and I can tell this is one of the best 911 2.4 T I've driven so far !

    This 1970 Porsche 911T is a numbers matching example that was recently acquired from the original owner. This car was purchased new from Brumos Porsche in Florida, and recently benefited from a $33k, year-long professional refurbishment that included an underbody cleaning, concours detailing, Turbo valve covers, Carrera tensioners, a new A/C compressor, and a Perma Tune ignition. The original 2.2L flat-six and 901 5-speed gearbox has 130k miles and received a documented rebuild at 61k miles. The car was also given a glass-out repaint in 1981. This 911 also features a hounds tooth interior, dealer-installed A/C, original Blaupunkt Frankfort radio, 3-piece luggage set, and original tools. The car is offered with extensive service and ownership history from new and a clean South Carolina title.

    The extensive original parts and documents sold with the car include:

    The car received a glass-out repaint and in its original Silver Metallic in December of 1981. The window seals were also replaced at that time. The finish remains in nice shape, and the body shows no significant flaws with even panel gaps and no visible rust issues. The paint has been well preserved and still gives off a glossy shine. The only noted damage was a minor right fender/door scrape in the 1980s that was professionally repaired. Photos of the damage are shown in the photo gallery and in the binder along with the repair invoice. German Motors refinished the door jams and casings during the recent refresh.

    The interior is believed to be mostly original, including the hounds tooth upholstery on the front seats. The driver’s door pocket is missing in photos, though the seller has ordered a new German replacement. The unrestored rear seats look to be in nice shape, and all interior panels are said to original. The steering wheel was recovered with Alan Gun leather, while the dash top and facia all show in nice condition. All VDO gauges are said to perform correctly with the odometer having rolled over once to show a total of 130,248 miles. The original Blaupunkt Frankfort Radio has been reconditioned, and the dealer-installed A/C system is said to perform well. A 3-piece fitted luggage set is included in the sale. It is believed to have been purchased through Brumos Porsche and delivered with the car.

    The original 2.2L flat-six was rebuilt at 61k miles and was recently updated with new 911 Carrera tensioners, Turbo valve covers, a Perma-Tune ignition unit, and a new A/C compressor. The original 901 5-speed manual gearbox (#911/0107100798) was rebuilt at the same time, and is said to shift smoothly with no issues noted. The engine and transmission were rebuilt by a local Porsche dealership, and the receipts detailing the work performed are included in the documentation. The car is also sold with a Specifications Book and copies of technical data is also included. The seller notes that the heat exchangers are a bit weak. Engine #6105332 is confirmed as original by the December 1969 Brumos document.

    The chassis and underbody were treated to an extensive cleaning and concours detailing by German Motors during the refresh. This was reportedly done without disturbing the original undercoating. This 911T is sold with extensive documentation. The original tools, jack, and manuals are also included. The seller offers and encourages a full inspection.
