Truth be known, there are a lot of cars I'd rather have for $313,000 with change left over.

just in case it gets dropped, it deserves a special 2nd mention. Maybe it's a very early '89 speedster prototype?

Pretty sure Robert Liberty is a member here. Maybe he can chime in with some color on this magnificent prototurd?
On the bright side, it does have a clean Kentucky title...
Scrolling through the 50 photos on their site is like watching a horror movie

BaT Description:
This 1971 Porsche 911T was sold new in December 1970 at Tom Carstens’ Porsche Audi of Tacoma, Washington and relocated to California after the second owner’s purchase in 1977. The car was driven for less than a year before being taken apart to be turned into an RSR clone. The project was never realized, and this 911 was left dismantled in storage until the seller bought it in 1991. He moved the car to Connecticut and reassembled it following a repaint. In 1993 the seller moved to Sugar Land, Texas, and the car was used as his daily driver until his retirement in 2014. It was then sold to a friend who drove it for the last four years until recently being transferred overseas. The matching-numbers 2.2-liter flat-six is mated to a 5-speed manual transaxle, and the car came from the factory with optional Koni shocks, front and rear sway bars, aluminum front calipers, Fuchs wheels, full leather interior, S gauges and trim, and more. The seller is now offering this 911T on the behalf of the current owner with an extensive service history file, original owner’s manual, stamped maintenance booklet, and clean Texas title.
Originally finished in Signal Yellow (7272), the car was repainted in bright yellow by the second owner in 1980. The seller painted the car in Light Ivory (1111) in 1991 shortly after his purchase. Some small rock chips are present from years of normal use, and the car retains its original sheet metal. 911S wide rubber trim was part of the “S” package installed at the factory , along with a two-stage heated rear window.
A pair of fog lights not pictured in these photos was recently installed by the current owner, and 930 tie rods have replaced the stock units. The 14″ Fuchs wheels wear Michelin Defender tires with a DOT code from December 2012.
Inside, black leather upholstery shows some creasing but has no rips or tears, and the front seat belts have been updated. Speakers have been installed in the kick panels, and the seller installed an adapter that allows a smart phone to be plugged into the factory radio.
The interior lights are said to work, and the VDO instruments are functioning properly. The odometer shows 81,815 miles and has rolled over once.
Power comes from a 2.2-liter flat-six mated to a 901 5-speed manual transaxle. The engine was overhauled at 135k miles, and the transmission was overhauled at 157k miles. Carrera pressure-fed chain tensioners were installed, and one Optima gel-cell battery has replaced the two standard batteries. The car was serviced less than 3k miles ago with an oil/filter change, valve adjustment, and general inspection.
Service history includes the original maintenance booklet with dealer stamps from December 24, 1970 through 1976. The second owner changed the oil once at 75k miles before he stored the car. The seller kept a logbook of records and receipts during his ownership from 1991 to 2014, and the current owner has maintained the logbook and kept receipts from service. A Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, the original owner’s manual, Washington State registration from December 1970, a customer identification card from Tom Carstens’ Autohaus, Inc., and a toolkit are also included.
