My comments were meant to address the terms and I don't recall blaming Kennel. I have no idea who made those decisions to market that car in this manner and of that, I have no opinion whatsoever. If I were consigning that car and the owner gave me instructions like that for some spare parts, I'd politely decline to consign the owners "stash" and market the car with no mention of the original parts. Commission on a minimal "after sale" be damned.

I will say that the car would have a slightly better chance of selling at list if the original parts were included. Frankly, I think it's a $65-70k car in this market.

    1973 Porsche 911T 2.7L Coupe
    VIN: 9113100629
    Engine: ??
    Trans: ??
    Color: Gemini blue / black
    Mileage: 67245
    Price: US$79,980

1973 was the last year of the sought-after longhood 911s, and this example is an excellent piece. The car is finished in the original color of Blue Metallic, and a repaint was performed to a very high standard. It has long-term ownership, being purchased by the last owner in 1977. The interior and underside are in fantastic condition, and there is no corrosion present. It was just brought out of long term storage and gone through mechanically to prepare it for sale. The car has a replacement case that has been modified to a 2.7L displacement with Weber carburetors, otherwise the car appears to be in all original specification. The original engine build was done by Stoddard Porsche, and a dyno sheet shows that it produced 220bhp when built.

This is a fantastic driving car that's been turned up a bit for maximum driving enjoyment.

    Dealer Description:

In 2014, this gorgeous antique underwent a full frame-off restoration including the engine and drivetrain, top end, 2 Weber carbs, brakes and lines, and the front and rear suspension. The beautiful Tangerine base coat is flawless, as is the clear coat. This Targa also boasts a luxurious black leatherette interior that seats four. The Fuch wheels have been restored but are original to the car. We have file photos showing the complete car restoration.

This soft window model was only offered for three years from 1967 to 1969. In 1969 there were approximately 250 produced. Offered only that year, the long wheel base makes it rarer still.

This is hands down the finest example of a Porsche 911 that we have seen. A true icon!
