Currently in between Porsches. Sold my 73.5T Targa, now suffering from serious withdrawal symptoms. Attending Rennsport Reunion VI didn't really help getting over it.

    BaT Description:

This 1973 Porsche 911T coupe is finished in Light Ivory and received a partial refurbishment by Naples Classic Car prior to the seller’s purchase in 2019. Work included overhauling the five-speed manual transaxle, detailing the suspension parts, and replacing the front trunk floor, the fuel tank, and black leatherette seat covers. A September 2019 service of the 2.4-liter flat-six reportedly included an oil change and replacing the ignition points, the spark plugs and wires, and the distributor cap and rotor. This 911T is now offered with service records, factory books, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car left the factory finished in Light Ivory, and paintwork in the last two years included refinishing the front lid in 2019 and repainting the front lip spoiler, rear bumpers, and rear center panel in 2020. The window and body seals, as well as the exterior trim, were also replaced in 2020. Blue California plates with 1985 registration tags are included in the sale, and the car is currently registered on planned non-operational status in the state of California. Close-up photos of the paint, trim, and lenses, as well as paint meter readings, can be viewed in the gallery. 15″ cookie-cutter wheels feature Porsche center caps and wear 195/65 Fuzion Touring tires. The car retains “sugar-scoop” headlight trim rings, and the removed front bumperettes are included in the sale.

The interior is upholstered in black, and the refurbishment included replacing the front seat covers, gas pedal, and the parking brake lever boot as well as installing updated door panels. The four-spoke steering wheel was recently recovered, and the seller notes cracks in the dash pad and a soiled headliner. Instrumentation consists of a central 8k-rpm tachometer and a 150-mph speedometer. The fuel-level gauge was replaced in 2019, and the five-digit odometer shows 65k miles. True mileage is unknown. A start-up clip is provided above.

The 2.4-liter flat-six features Bosch CIS fuel injection and routes power to the rear wheels through a rebuilt five-speed manual transaxle. A September 2019 service reportedly included an oil change and replacing the ignition points, the spark plugs and wires, and the distributor cap and rotor. The front trunk floor pan was replaced in 2019 due to corrosion. The fuel tank and fuel pump were also replaced in 2019. Additional photos of the car on a rotisserie during the 2019 underside repairs are presented in the gallery. The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity shows a production completion date in April 1973 and also displays the factory colors, equipment, and powertrain numbers.

    BaT Description:

This 1972 Porsche 911T Targa was sold new in Ontario, Canada, and remained with its original owner until 2017. Finished in Gemini Blue over black, the car is powered by an injected 2.4L flat-six and is equipped with a five-speed manual transaxle, 15″ Fuchs wheels, a lower rear valance, and an external oil filler door. Service performed within the past three years included rebuilds of the mechanical fuel injection pump and all four brake calipers, as well as cleaning the fuel injectors and repairing the instruments. The car was recently acquired by the selling dealer and is now offered at no reserve with an owner’s manual, spare Fuchs wheel, service records for recent work, and a clean Washington State title.

The car was refinished in its factory shade of Metallic Blue in 1990 and features European-style headlight rights, chrome lower rocker trim, a collapsible antenna, and a louvered rear valance. Note the 1972-only oil filler door located just aft of the passenger-side door, under the polished targa bar. Close-up images of the paintwork and exterior trim are attached in the photo gallery. The 15″ Fuchs wheels are mounted with 185/70 Pirelli P6000 tires that were manufactured in 2016. A matching 15″ Fuchs spare is stored in the front trunk compartment. All four brake calipers were rebuilt in March 2017 by Downtown Porsche of Toronto, Canada, and the rear rotors and pads were also replaced at that time.

The cabin is upholstered in black vinyl and features a matching-color dash, carpeting, and door panels. Additional interior features include a period Blaupunkt AM/FM radio and three-point seatbelts for the front occupants, though the rear jump seats are not equipped with belts. A factory four-spoke steering wheel frames five individual VDO instruments, including a central 8k-rpm tachometer, 150-mph speedometer, fuel and oil level gauge, oil pressure and temperature gauge, and a clock. The five-digit odometer shows 53k miles, and a receipt attached in the gallery notes that instrument repair was carried out in 2019.

The 2.4-liter flat-six is equipped with Bosch fuel injection and was rated for 140 horsepower from the factory. The mechanical injection pump was rebuilt and the injectors were cleaned in July 2018. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle. Additional photos of the underside can be viewed in the gallery. An owner’s manual and service booklet are included in the sale, along with Blaupunkt literature and service records covering maintenance performed since 2017. Two videos showing driving and walk-around can be viewed.

    BaT Description:

This 1970 Porsche 911T coupe was modified by a previous longterm owner in the style of a 1973 911 Carrera RS and was recently acquired by the selling dealer. The car is finished in blue over black, and modifications include a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, a stainless steel exhaust, RS-style rear flares, an RS-style front bumper, staggered-width Fuchs-style wheels, bolstered bucket seats, and a MOMO steering wheel. This 911T is now offered by the selling dealer in Florence, Alabama, with service records, a painted ducktail engine cover, and a clean Florida title.

The body was repainted blue during previous ownership after being modified with RS-style rear flares and an RS-style front bumper. A stainless steel dual-exit exhaust was installed, and the selling dealer notes a crack in the paint on the right side of the hood. Close-up photos of the body panels and trim can be viewed in the gallery. Staggered-width 15″ Fuchs-style wheels measure 7″ in width up front and 8″ at the rear and wear Pirelli P6000 tires. Braking is from four-wheel discs, and Bilstein shocks are fitted in the rear. A painted ducktail engine cover is included in the sale and can be viewed in the gallery.

The interior was reupholstered during previous ownership and features replacement bolstered bucket seats, replacement door panels, a short-throw shifter, and Coco Mats. The leather-wrapped MOMO Prototipo steering wheel fronts a 150-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer is believed to have rolled over and shows 17k miles. True mileage is unknown. A driving clip can be viewed.

The selling dealer states that the 3.2-liter flat-six was sourced from a 9k-mile 1988 911 Carrera and features an Evolution Motorsports air intake. The engine was serviced by European Collectibles in March 2020, and a video of the engine running is provided. The 911/01 five-speed manual transaxle features a 7:31 pinion and ring gear. The selling dealer states that European Collectibles rebuilt the transaxle, installed a lightened flywheel, and replaced the clutch assembly in March 2020.

A video of the interior can be viewed, and a walk-around clip is provided. Additional videos of the interior, exterior, engine, and driving footage can be viewed.
